Ol Kalou Member of Parliament David Kiaraho has died at Nairobi Hospital, plunging the Nyandarua County constituency and Kenya’s National Assembly into mourning. He was 62 years old.

Kiaraho, an Alliance High School alumnus and trained architect, passed away at approximately 1:20 AM while undergoing treatment. He had been elected for a third consecutive term.

President William Ruto led tributes, describing the late legislator as a man whose life demonstrated “rising above political noise” to serve his constituents with integrity.

His legacy includes championing agricultural reforms in Nyandarua and advocating for improved road infrastructure. A by-election to fill the Ol Kalou seat will be called within 90 days.
