David Keter has secured the United Democratic Alliance party nomination for the Emurua Dikirr constituency following a tightly contested nomination exercise.
Keter edged out three other aspirants in what observers described as one of the most competitive UDA primaries in the South Rift region, leading by fewer than 800 votes.
“The people of Emurua Dikirr want water, roads, and opportunities for their children — not endless political feuds. I will deliver on these promises,” he told supporters.
The nomination is seen as a bellwether for UDA’s strength in Kipsigis-speaking areas of the Rift Valley, the party’s heartland.
